Easter weekend

Trip to the park on Saturday:

Sunday afternoon Jake put plastic eggs all over the yard, but Gavin was not at all interested in walking in the grass to get them.
He was, however, quite interested in eating his chocolate bunny:

FHE

This afternoon before Jake went to work we had our family home evening. For our lesson we usually read one of Gavin's church books and talk about it to him. Gavin often likes to wave his arms up and down while we sing our hymns, it kind of looks like he's conducting the music. For our fun activity for family home evening Gavin went on an Easter egg hunt in our living room. He did a good job of putting the eggs in the basket, then emptying it and doing it again. I'm sure we'll be playing this game a lot the next few days. When it warms up we'll have to try it outside.
This past Saturday Gavin learned another trick while I was at work - how to climb up on the couch by himself using the footstool.
Gavin has been interested in utensils lately. He throws a fit when we use them around him until we give him one to play with. He sometimes even gets the food in his mouth.

Better late than never

Jake reminded me today that our digital camera takes videos. Wish I had remembered that sooner. Anyway, here's a video Jake took of Gavin's new and improved walking skills this afternoon:
