Massee Lane Gardens

Today's Saturday adventure was a trip to Massee Lane Gardens in Ft Valley. It is the headquarters of the American Camellia Society and does not disappoint. Lots to see and explore.

Gavin our map guide:
Walking on these brick paths through the 9 acre camellia garden reminded me of Alice and Wonderland. Flowers everywhere. Truly amazing.

"Gavin, sit down on that bench and smile so I can take your picture:"

 Pecan trees and peach trees:
I was engrossed by all the fallen flowers on the ground. Beautiful.

The drive up to the gardens is quite scenic right now, lots of fields of peach trees in bloom, like this one across the road from the gardens:

Wednesday and Thursday

It has been warm here and we've been playing outside every day lately. I've been trimming the bushes out front and Gavin has been helping me pick up the trimmings. So far he's made $2. It could have been $3, but he saw a bee near the camellia bush and decided the money wasn't worth the risk.
Wed:

Thursday we picked up Gavin's new glasses. They are his favorite colors, red and black.
