August

Gavin started 5th grade on August 1. So far so good!
The next week Amelia started pre-k, going 9-noon 5 days a week. She was super excited about going and has loved every minute.

Love when I find toys nicely arranged:
Last Saturday I taught an original lesson at our stake Relief Society activity about seasons of life, simplifying, and simple service. I taught the same 30 minute class 3 times, something I had not done before. I was super nervous but it went really well and I got lots of good feedback afterwards.

July

We had our usual 4th of July fun with friends. This was the 1st yr it rained on us while we were shooting fireworks. Luckily it only lasted a few minutes and we were able to go back out when it stopped.

Had a mandatory fun day with Jake's coworkers at Lake Tobosofkee in Macon. It was the first time we had been and was nicer than I expected. It helped that it stormed in the morning so that there was hardly anyone there besides Jake's coworkers in the early afternoon when we arrived. The kids got to go jet skiing and tubing and they loved it.

The kids had their last bowling league games of the summer. Amelia's team won the pee-wee division, Gavin broke 100, and both brought home lots of swag.
