Chattanooga

We had a nice, peaceful Thanksgiving. My parents cooked and we were happy to stuff ourselves. Then I worked Friday and Saturday, and now Jake is working 12 days straight (however he plans to take off one day so we can put up our Christmas tree). Last Monday was a super fun day for Gavin and me. Amelia stayed with my parents while Gavin and I drove up to Chattanooga to spend the afternoon and night with our close friends Angela and Brayden. We miss them so much and were happy to drive a few hours for a chance to see them on their drive home from visiting family in Alabama. We met up for lunch at Good Dogs, walked around Coolidge Park, the boys took a carousel ride, then we walked the Walnut Street Bridge and the boys played in the park some more while Angela and I talked. Then we checked into our hotel, ate dinner at Purple Daisy Picnic Cafe, and walked around a couple hours at the Enchanted Garden of Lights on Lookout Mountain. Angela and I stayed up late talking in the hotel room while the boys watched cartoons. They had to leave right after breakfast the next morning but we were so glad we had a chance to meet up. We love those guys! So much fun.

Panama City Beach

Over the long Veteran's Day weekend Mom, the kids, and I went to Panama City Beach. We spent Friday and Saturday night at the Continental Condominiums, meeting up with Uncle Bill and Aunt Joy who are spending the month there. The water was beautiful and Saturday was a perfect beach day (Friday was a little chilly but we went to the beach that day too). There was also a huge car show in town and we saw lots of cool old cars driving around and parked in the parking lot.

The kids had lots of fun playing with Joy all weekend:
