Wednesday and Thursday

It has been warm here and we've been playing outside every day lately. I've been trimming the bushes out front and Gavin has been helping me pick up the trimmings. So far he's made $2. It could have been $3, but he saw a bee near the camellia bush and decided the money wasn't worth the risk.

Thursday we picked up Gavin's new glasses. They are his favorite colors, red and black.

1st Lost Tooth

Last night while Gavin was brushing his teeth he lost his first tooth. He was super excited and decided he would rather have a toy than money from the tooth fairy so she brought him ninja swords. In other news, yesterday was my 36th birthday, which I used as an excuse to buy a much needed new pair of tennis shoes. It was a beautiful day so after school Brayden came over and played with Gavin and Amelia outside.

Ocmulgee Indian Mounds

 Saturday we took the kids on a little hike at the Ocmulgee Indian Mounds in Macon. It was the first time any of us had been there and we all really enjoyed it. We followed up with a visit to Steak n Shake, which we also really enjoyed.

Birthday Balloon

Last week Amelia, Gavin, and I were sick with colds but Amelia managed to still have some fun with one of the balloons from her birthday party:

Also, this week Amelia is responding "yah" when I ask her if she wants something enticing. She is also saying "muh" for milk. She says phrases that only Jake and I understand all the time, like "What's that?," "Here you go," and "Thank you."
