Fall Break - Asheville!

For fall break this year we spent 3 nights in Asheville, North Carolina. Monday we did the 5 hr drive up there and arrived around one. We parked in a parking garage and walked around downtown, visiting a few art galleries and stopping for lunch at a burger place outside the Grove arcade:

Checked into our room -we have used 19 free nights over the past 3 years with our Hyatt credit card!  This stay alone would have cost over $700 without the free nights.

 After check in we visited Grovewood Village, which includes a car museum and a really fancy/expensive wood carved furniture/art store:

 After dinner at Asheville Pizza & Brewing the kids talked me into letting them swim:

 Amelia's friend/crush Max from last year goes to her school this year too. She plays with him most days at recess, and wrote him this note at the "hotl." I hadn't noticed the heart after Max's name until I loaded this picture:

Gavin says middle school is pretty cold, and took this jacket. I asked him if he minded it being so big. He said, "No, I look like the Fresh Prince of Bel Air!"
