We spent spring break 2024 in Williamsburg, Virginia. We stayed in a condo that had a wrist band system for all the amenities including 2 arcades that were totally free. Gavin enjoyed some freedom on this trip in the afternoons/evenings after site seeing; he walked around the resort by himself and played video games, miniature golfed with kids he met, and bird watched by the pond. While he did this Amelia enjoyed having her own room with king size bed to play her tablet in.
We did all the historical stuff while we were in town. We visited Historical Williamsburg the first and last full day of our trip. The first visit was on a busy Saturday and the last was on a cooler, much less busy Thursday and it was fun to see it on both days. My favorite was walking around on Thursday morning when it was first opening. Gavin really enjoyed speaking to all the people who worked at all the places we visited and asked lots of questions. He especially enjoyed the Native Americans and the men making guns at Williamsburg. We did the tours at the Governor's Palace and the Capitol and learned lots of history. Amelia's favorite was the 2 day old sheep we saw. We also visited the extensive art museums at Historical Williamsburg where a well meaning elderly docent wouldn't leave us alone.
